RULES

THE TWEET 5K PROCEEDS BENEFIT ATHLETES FOR A CURE
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO FUNDRAISE, BUT IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO PARTICIPATE

  1. The event is run on the honor system similar to a postal event.
  2. Course can be any certified 5k road course or 400m track.
  3. Runners get three tries before results close at 11:30pm PDT on May 31, 2009.
  4. You must post your times with only one Twitter address.
  5. All runners in the top 5 in each age division will be asked to back up their best time by presenting a published 5k race result from a race within the last 24 months. To be eligible for awards your race result time must be within 3% of your Tweet5k time.

ENTRY FEE

  1. $10 to participate
  2. $40 with t-shirt
  3. Free entry and t-shirt if you fundraise more than $100
  4. We refund your entry fee when you hit $100 and all proceeds have processed.

Fundraising is as easy as sending a few emails through the Rapid Registration system.

AWARDS

Awards for top 3 men/women in every age group. $1000 for 1st overall man/woman.*

  1. $500 gift certificate to Zappos for fastest M/F overall.*
  2. Top three in each male/female age division.

1st – Custom #tweet 5k trophy
2nd- Newton Running shoes & a dozen socks
3rd – $50 Zappos Gift Certificate

*Must meet ALL awards rules.
**Awards and t-shirts will be delivered 3-5 weeks after event close.
